Co-host of pop-up dinner series, Cooking the Books

Together with chef Christine Manfield, Julie co-hosted three series of pop-up dinners, Cooking the Books, that served as an edible ode to her own and Christine’s culinary heroes. Each sold-out dinner celebrated the recipes of wonderful chefs, such as Madhur Jaffrey, Elizabeth David, Alice Waters and Julia Child. Hosted at venues from Sean’s Panorama in Bondi to the Cook’s Co-op at Sackville and Du Fermier in Trentham, Victoria, the dinners were hugely successful.

Together with master baker, Gillian Bell, Julie has hosted and instructed keen bakers and bookworms through cooking classes that share more than simply recipes.
